Borealis Saxophone Quartet

The Borealis Saxophone Quartet is an award-winning group from Manchester, formed in 2009 when the members were at the RNCM. Their music is as lively as the quartet itself, basically chamber music, but not as Mozart or Beethoven may have known it. However, its not all modern music, the programme list includes Bach.
Their debut performance was at the Bridgewater Hall, and play regularly at Kings Place and St John's Smith Square. In 2012, they played at the Proms, broadcast live on BBC Radi
Entry from 7:00; concert starts at 7:30. No tickets - admission by donation. A 5-minute AGM before the music isn't at all painful. You can Join the Society on the night giving a worthwhile disco
