Ghost Stories at Great War Huts
Great War Huts are hosting an evening of spine chilling ghost stories by M.R James, performed by Robert Lloyd Parry.
M R James grew up in Great Livermere, about 5 miles from Bury St Edmunds, and knew the town very well. As a medievalist and archaeologist he was fascinated with the history of the Abbey, particularly its library. In 1903 he was responsible for the location and excavation of the tombs of several medieval abbots.
