My Ancestor Came from Yorkshire

Live online on Zoom.
Many of us have ancestors that lived and worked in Yorkshire. The county has played a significant role in Britain's history. Your ancestors may have been coal miners, workers in the steel or cutlery industry or drawn to the area because of the jobs available in the textile factories.

It isn't always straightforward to know where to look when you want to understand what their lives were like. John Hanson and Sue Gibbons aim to help you in this half-day online course on Zoom:
10.30 to 11.45 am Family history sources for Yorkshire, including online sources with John Hanson, followed by a Questions session with John
11.45 am to 12 midday A short break - grab yourself a cup of tea
12 midday to 1.15 pm Yorkshire sources in the Society of Genealogists Library, with Sue Gibbons, followed by a Questions session with Sue
A half-day course, from 10.30 am to 1.15 pm BST. On 31 July we will email you an invitation which includes a password and link to the course - remember to check your spam folder! Please ensure you use the same user name that you used at booking, to login to the talk on the day.
