The Flint House, Lowestoft
Heritage Open Day: The handsome Grade II Flint House or Wildes House has a date plaque showing 1586.
The House is constructed from black/white knapped flint Galletted/Garretted flint (flakes of flint in the joints) depending upon what part of the country one comes from, High quality work common on churches. Stone painted White, to all windows and door openings. The building contains a Stone lintel dated 1586 W.M. over the front door.
