Ian Rumley-Dawson - Wildlife of the Swamplands
Wetlands in Britain and mangrove swamps in tropical regions form special challenges for animals and plants to survive in such conditions. However, species such as frogs, herons, ospreys, turtles, alligators and other animals thrive here; but most spectacular of all are the evening flights of scarlet ibis coming in to roost on a mangrove island.
