Wray Castle - Upping sticks at sixty

This 10 minute talk introduces the Dawsons, a middle class couple from Liverpool, who built Wray Castle and made a new life in the Lake District. James and Margaret Dawson were a middle-class couple, products of the Industrial Revolution in Liverpool. Upon retirement, and after inheriting a large amount of money, they built a statement home in the Lake District.
