Join a Totally Wild UK professional forager to learn the basics of foraging and to discover a range of wild edibles lying all around us.
After our initial meeting we will go through the basics of foraging. Then we head out to discover the vast array of wild edible species that lie all around us. During the Foraging event your professional forager will introduce you to a number of edible species; giving you tips on harvesting, correct identification an possible look-alikes. Whilst doing this you will have the opportunity to taste a range of pre-made wild food tasters from pickles to jams, chutneys, syrups, flavoured salts, alchohol infusions and much more.
After our forage, we’ll sit down to a pre-prepared, foraged food lunch. In the past we’ve enjoyed delights such as acorn sour-dough bread, ginger and knotweed jam, cheese and hawthorn chutney, dandelion root “coffee” cake, elderflower cordial and nettle cordial (these items will change with seasonal availability
