The Claydons - Open Garden for NGS
Three small villages, originally part of the Claydon Estate with typical north Buckinghamshire cottages and two C13 churches. The Old Vicarage, a large garden on clay with mixed borders, scented garden, dell, shrub roses, vegetables and a natural clay pond. Small meadow area and planting to encourage wildlife and beehives. A free children's quiz. Access via gravel drive. Claydon Cottage has many quirky features and surprises. The Old Rectory is a large garden with a wildflower meadow, herbaceous borders, a woodland walk and cloud hedging. 4 Station Cottages is a small, perfectly formed garden sculptured out of the railway embankment.
Mon 27 May (2-6). Combined adm £5, Children free. Home-made teas in village hall. Times:14:00 to 18:00. Open for charity.
