The Dementia Friendly Community Cafe
With an ageing population, cases of dementia are increasing, which means that more and more people in the local area will be affected by the condition at some point in their lives.
It is our hope that by educating the local community, we can improve dementia awareness through positive social interaction as our mission is to create a dementia friendly community.
We are working in alliance at improving services within our Alzheimer’s and Dementia community by bringing this free service each month, with the support of generous donations, guest speakers, entertainment and fantastic volunteers. We believe that staying both engaged and stimulated helps to lift a person’s spirit and sense of accomplishment.
