Guided Tour: The Curious History of Newtown Old Town Hall
The Old Town Hall has a fascinating history and our tour will guide you around this ancient building whilst telling you tales from its past. As you explore upstairs and down, we'll regale you with stories of Fergusons Gang, a group of young women who wore masks and used fictitious names such as Red Biddy, Sister Agatha and Bill Stickers. These eccentric and formidable women were instrumental in raising awareness of the need to protect and preserve valuable places, such as the Old Town Hall
