Head to the Tudor parlour at Avebury Manor and watch as Mrs Dunch is dressed and her outfit built up from a linen chemise into a fine Tudor gown. Watch as Mrs Dunch is dressed and learn about the purpose of each layer of her clothing. Mrs Dunch was the wife of the first owner who developed Avebury Manor from a small farmhouse into a more substantial Tudor Manor around 1560. Each layer of Mrs Dunchs clothing was created by the National Trust Aveburys volunteer textile group. Booking Not Needed.
