Twitter user data has been used to map public health, watch responses to natural disasters and even pre-emptively spot depressive behaviour. Our panel, including Twitter research expert Dr Wasim Amhed and Deputy Director of The Social Data Science LabDr Luke Sloan, takes a long hard look at social media, analysing sites live to show how much metadata is available and what it can be used for.
