British Red Cross Bedfordshire Open Garden
The house was established as a farmhouse next to the village church in the 17th Century. The north garden and drive are in a woodland area with spring bulbs. The west garden is more formal with a circular bed on the site of an old well. The main lawn is south facing and leads down to a large pond. This provides sanctuary for ducks, moorhens, frogs, toads and a variety of insects and dragonflies. Managing the garden for human interest and wildlife is a balance. Wildlife needs the cover and debris that is untidy to the human eye! By kind permission of: Dr T G & Mrs D M Inskip
