Moth ID Morning
Come along for the big reveal when we open up the moth trap and see what we caught overnight from different parts of the reserve. Find out more about the mysteries of the moths and how they have got such weird and wonderful names. There are groups of moths called carpets, kittens, pugs, tigers, hawks, footmen, quakers, daggers and darts. These describe some of the common characteristics of each group, such as the intricate patterns of the carpets or the plain appearance of the quakers.
