An in-depth look at the Howard de Walden collection of arms and armour held at Dean Castle which is typical of a gentleman and scholar’s collecting. A mention will be made of Felix Joubert, an armourer and restorer of the Queen’s collections and those of London Museums, from whom de Walden commissioned items. Nicolas and Soline are PhD historians who specialise in historic costume, body armour and Joubert.
