Capriol Orchetsra Spring Concert

This concert will open with Rossini’s overture ‘The Italian Girl in Algiers’. After Fauré’s beautiful ‘Pavane’ the woodwind will provide a contrast with ‘More Old Wine in New Bottles’ by Gordon Jacob. We welcome Lydia Kenny, the 2018 Gloucestershire Young Musician of the Year to play Debussy’s Rhapsodie for Alto Saxophone and Orchestra. After the interval, during which there will be refreshments, the orchestra will play Symphony No 104 ‘London’ by Haydn.
