Our concert celebrates summer in all its manifestations: the languorous basking warmth of the summer sun, the phenomenon of the northern lights, and the singing and dancing which in many countries celebrate midsummer and the feast of St John the Baptist.
The concert features Tormis’ St John’s Day Songs whose tunes and texts are derived from the traditional Estonian midsummer all-night bonfire celebrations.
