Dave is making a welcome return to All Saints following on from his well-received illustrated talk about the story of Brambleside earlier this year. This time he is wearing his musician's hat and will tell his story and sing songs from almost every stage in his career, liberally illustrated with pictures of every bad haircut he has had!
Dave has been making music for over fifty years and has played virtually every music genre from folk to funk, pop to rock, country music and everything in between. Since the early 1990s he has had over 100 songs published and released more than a dozen albums.
In his long career he has played every kind of venue in the UK, from theatres and concert halls to clubs and pubs to festivals, bandstands and house concerts. Tonight, he is joined by Vince Gorman on guitar and cittern.
In 2017 he took time off from performing to write books. He has just had his tenth title published and hopes to start his eleventh later this year after he has completed his new album of original songs - some of which will be performed today.
