George Abbot’s Gift to Guildford On the 400th anniversary of the founding of Abbot’s Hospital on the High Street, this exhibition looks at George Abbot the man and the wonderful Alms House he gave to Guildford which is still a home for town residents today. It will show some of Abbot’s Hospital’s treasures not usually displayed to the public and trace the history of life as a resident.
