Talk - Roman roads in the Newbury area
A major Roman road crosses the West Berkshire area, heading from Silchester to Cirencester; part of an engineered national network which lasted for centuries. David Peacock looks at the detailed route of the road and the evidence for it, together with the road which branched off towards Roman Bath, and evidence of other Roman roads in the area.
