Roman Ewell
What was it like to live under an Empire? Discover how life changed for local people and how the building of a road brought a small native village in touch with a new world of ideas and trade. Hear tales of underworld gods, sacred springs, shafts and sacrificed puppies – and hear what was found in recent excavations. There will be a chance to handle Roman objects after this illustrated talk. Don’t forget to visit the Roman display in Bourne Hall Museum while you are there.
