Tea with Ruskin
Come and enjoy an afternoon of entertainment with tea & cakes, hosted by the Friends of Carnegie Library, to celebrate the bi-centenary of the birth of local boy John Ruskin; highly-acclaimed critic of art, architecture and society, gifted painter and distinctive prose stylist; influential in cultural & social change.
With local actor Bernard Lawrence reading extracts from Ruskin`s works, and singer Pam Williams performing contemporary songs from the famous Vauxhall Gardens (by kind permission
