Award winning Guildford Opera’s production of Verdi’s opera ‘Nabucco’ is fully staged, sung in English and accompanied by a chamber orchestra conducted by Lewis Gaston. It is full of unforgettable arias and rousing choruses, including the famous lament, ‘The Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves’. Set in 6th century BCE, it follows the plight of the Hebrews as Nabucco, King of Babylon, destroys Jerusalem and exiles them to slavery in Babylon.
