Edward Taylor Organ Recital
Edward Taylor, Assistant Organist at Carlisle Cathedral, gives a free lunchtime recital: The Colours of the Organ, includes pieces specially chosen to reflect the variety of sounds and styles which the majestic Cathedral organ can produce, including works by JS Bach, Widor and Whitlock. Installed in 1856 and built by renowned organ-maker Henry Willis, the Cathedral’s organ is played daily at services; to hear it at full throttle in such a magnificent setting is a truly memorable experience.
