Heritage Open Day: A static display of the life and Work of Oliver Sarony, the famous Victorian portrait photographer, and a continuous PowerPoint presentation. Born in Quebec, Sarony trained as a daguerreotypist in New York before travelling to England. He set up his lavishly decorated studio in Scarborough in 1857, where people from all around the country travelled to be photographed, including The Price of Wales.
