Admiral's House

Heritage Open Day: An interesting heritage building, defined by as much by its occupants as by its architecture - with echoes of each period of residency. Probably built during the reign of Charles II (1660-85), with the later addition of a fine Georgian front. The interior is a mix of architectural styles. Once the residence of Admiral Benjamin Page and visited by the Duke of Wellington in 1820, it later became the home of eminent local architect, John Shewell Corder. It now houses the restaura
