BRISTOL SYNAGOGUE

Heritage Open Day: OPEN HOUSE Explore a rare surviving example of a Grade II-listed Victorian Synagogue. The only purpose-built Jewish house of worship in Bristol, Bristol Synagogue was consecrated in 1871, after being built on the remains of a former quarry. Designed by H.H Collins, (Victorian England’s leading architect) this elegant building boasts a number of unique 18th century architectural features, as well as many items that are substantially pre-date the building itself.
