Divinity School, Old Bodleian Library

Heritage Open Day: Magnificent gothic architecture with elaborate vaulted ceiling Built between 1427 and 1483, the Bodleian's Divinity School is the oldest surviving purpose-built building for university use, specifically for lectures, oral exams and discussions on theology. This was the first teaching room and earliest examination hall of the University of Oxford.
