Finch Foundry
Heritage Open Day: Finch Foundry is a water-powered Victorian Forge owned by the Finch Family until 1960. Visitors can see three water wheels that power large hammers, shears and a sharpening stone. There are regular blacksmith demonstrations and history talks. In the 19th century Finch Foundry once produced up to 400 edge tools a day for agriculture, mining and the china clay industry, and employed over 25 men across the site.
