Ipswich Town Hall
Heritage Open Day: The Town Hall will be open for guided tours by the Town Sergeant of Ipswich, including the Town Hall, Mayors Parlour and Cornexchange. The present Town Hall was built in 1868. The foundation stone was laid by Mayor Ebeneezer Goddard on April 18th 1866 and was opened by Mayor John Patterson Cobbold on January 28th 1868. The interior of high ceilings, marble pillars and grand staircases gives a magnificent backdrop to Civic life.
