Newent Market House Open Days
Heritage Open Day: Visitors can go inside the Market House plus view exhibitions. Display boards cover 3000 years of Newent history & display cases house many artefacts. There is a comprehensive display of local village histories & a celebration of local music-makers. The Market House was built in 1668 as a butter market when Newent was a bustling agricultural centre. The building served the various fairs and markets which took place in the Market Square.
