St Thomas of Canterbury and the English Martyrs Church
Heritage Open Day: Opened in 1867 and designed by EW Pugin, English Martyrs is a large, Grade II listed, Gothic-style church with an impressive high altar and sanctuary, side altars and stained glass. The War Memorial Chapel will also be open. English Martyrs was designed and extended by the famous architect Edward Welby Pugin, son of Augustus Welby Pugin.
