Heritage Open Day: The Roman Theatre of Verulamium is unique.Built in 140AD it is the only example of it's kind in Britain, being a theatre with a stage rather than an Amphitheatre. Dating back to 140AD, the Roman Theatre is the only fully excavated example of its kind in Britain.
