University of Chester Chapel, Parkgate Road
Heritage Open Day: The University of Chester Chapel is not normally open to the public. The chapel was built between 1844 and 1847. The decorative stonework, carved interior woodwork, the organ case and some of the stained glass were produced by the students. There is a cabinet for the 77 Poppies Exhibition commemorating staff and alumni who died in the First World War. A leaflet is available on the History of the Chapel and some of the windows and paintings.
