Winterbourne Parish Church
Heritage Open Day: The late twelfth century Grade 1 listed Parish Church of St Michael is still in use today. It sits in a rural Conservation Zone and has significant remains from the 14th century to the 20th. This year, special displays on bells. St Michael's Church with its 14th century tower and spire, contains much of interest. There are important 14th century wall paintings, several effigies and a brass, all commissioned by Sir Thomas Bradeston, a friend and supporter of Edward III.
