1939 Evacuees exhibition

Heritage Open Day: An exhibition of photos and artifacts commemorating the arrival by train of War time evacuees to the Oswestry area. An exhibition commemorating the arrival by train, eighty years ago, of War time evacuees from Birkenhead. Artifacts and photos will be on display showing how the railways were a central part of operation 'Pied Piper', the organisation of removing children to the safety of the countryside away from the bombing of the industrial areas.
