Chaddesden Community Day - St Mary's Church
Heritage Open Day: One of the oldest churches in the city, Grade I listed dating to the mid-14th century. Come see the £¼million Victorian roof repair, or take in the view from the top of the tower, which is normally closed to the public. St Mary's has been the Parish Church of Chaddesden since at least 1347 AD when we have the earliest recorded reference of the church.
The chancel of the present building dates from that period, with the nave, aisles and tower being later additions. It is
