Church of St James' the Great, Morpeth

Heritage Open Day: Impressive Victorian Church with fine wall paintings. A Victorian, Norman-style church by Benjamin Ferrey, former apprentice to Augustus Pugin. Impressive apse murals from 1875, recently conserved, and a fine Minton tiled floor in the Chancel. Information leaflets will be available. Guide books & handmade cards will be available to purchase. On Saturday, volunteers will be present to talk to and refreshments will be available. On other days, information is available about the
