Design your Own Blue Plaque
Heritage Open Day: Chippenham Civic Society is unveiling a new Blue Plaque this year to celebrate the life and contribution of Chippenham resident Florence Hancock. Who would you put on a Blue Plaque? Make your own to take home. The first blue heritage plaque was erected in London in the 1860s. Since then, people in towns and cities all over Britain have sought to commemorate their interesting buildings, and where possible, link them to individuals who were notable either locally or nationally.
