Heritage Open Day: This is a unique opportunity to learn more about the mining history associated with Bolsover Colliery and to explore the Grade II listed former miners' cottages which are undergoing major refurbishment. New Bolsover Model Village, built by the Bolsover Colliery Company in 1891 to accommodate its workforce is the first of a series of Model villages developed by the Company along garden city principles. An ambitious £10million housing restoration of the Village is underway
