Pilton Tithe Barn
Heritage Open Day: Pilton Barn is a 14th century building erected by Glastonbury Abbey. It was used to store agricultural produce for many centuries but lost its roof in a fire in the 1960s. The roof has been restored in traditional oak and will be open to view. View and be told about the repair of this 14th century barn, which lost its roof in a fire in the 1960s. The roof was reinstated with the help of a Heritage lottery grant, using green oak in traditional construction.
