Fauré Requiem choral concert
Fauré's well-known Requiem contains some of his most sublime melodies. The rest of the programme for Polymnia's choral concert acknowledges the passing seasons with Britten's exquisite Hymn to St Cecilia, (in recognition of her saint’s day) and Poulenc's Quatre Motets pour le Temps de Noël. We will also sing Eric Whitacre’s Go, Lovely Rose and excerpts from Jonathan Dove's The Passing of the Year, following its great reception at our Summertime concert with Lesley G
