Britten: Rejoice in the Lamb + Howells: Requiem
Oxford Pro Musica Singers present a concert featuring two twentieth-century English Masterpieces: Britten’s ever-popular Rejoice in the Lamb and Howells’ Requiem – written in 1935 but unpublished and unperformed until 1980 . The concert also includes Britten’s Festival Te Deum, written for St Mark’s Church in Swindon, and Howells’ Magnificat ‘Collegium Regale’, arguable his most famous and most popular work.
