Welsh Somali Heritage Day

Join us for a day of discussions and activities celebrating the Somali heritage of Wales. 11am – 12.20pm (Atrium) Poetry, Kaman music and fashion show. 1pm – 1.40pm (Lecture Theatre) Panel discussion with members of the Delve Youth Group, moderated by Dr Idil Osman. What does it mean to be a young Somali person living in Wales today£ 2pm– 2.40pm (Lecture Theatre) Intergenerational Q&A with Somali elders and Museum Young Heritage Leaders. 3pm– 3.30pm (Lecture Theatre) Talk by Hamish Wilson (Degmo: The Centre for Rural Culture and Development). 3.40pm – 4pm (Lecture Theatre) Closing remarks and poetry reading by Aly Goolyad.
