Pottery Throwing Short-course: Make a Mug

Tutor: Fi Chappelle

The course will be over 2 days. On the first day, after a 15-20 minute demonstration, you will be on the potter's wheel throwing a couple of mug bases with the support of tutor Fi.

These cylinders will then be left overnight to dry out enough so they are ready to be turned (the process of carving excess clay off of the base).

You will then pull handles which will be attached onto your pot, making a mug! If you would like to be creative with the design of your mug then please bring some inspiration along with you.

Suitable for beginners.

Places must be booked in advance; suitable for adults and students aged 16+.

NOTE: Different start and finish times each day; please check before making a booking.
