Gillian Clarke & Deryn Rees-Jones

A reading from two of Wales’ finest poets. Gillian Clarke, the National Poet of Wales 2008-2016 and Deryn Rees-Jones, a poet, editor and literary critic. Gillian Clarke, National Poet of Wales 2008-2016, President of Ty Newydd, the Welsh Writers Centre. In 2010 she was awarded the Queen’s Gold Medal for Poetry, in 2012 the Wilfred Owen Award. Se-lected Poems, Picador, was published in 2016, and Zoology, Carcanet, in 2017. Her version/translation of the 7th century Welsh poem, Y Gododdin, appears from Faber in September 2020. Deryn Rees-Jones is a poet, editor and literary critic. Most recently she has turned to writing about art, and her book about the Portuguese artist, Paula Rego: The Art of Story, was recently published by Thames & Hudson.
