Full orchestra with harps, percussion and celeste, plus the East of England choir.
2019 marks the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission to the moon, so what better way to mark the occasion than with a performance of Holst's ever-popular Planets Suite. It reflects the composer's interest in astrology, rather than in astronomy, so each movement depicts a different aspect of the human condition.
We are grateful to the University of Nottingham School of Physics and Astronomy for their assistance with the visual presentation of this concert.
A Sunday afternoon concert starting at 3pm is ideal for all the family.
Children under 16 are free, students just £5, and adult tickets are £15 and £18
Tickets are available on the door, online from ticketsource.co.uk and priorbooking.com as well as the Royal Centre Box Office www.trch.co.uk 0115 989 5555
