Adventures of a Pilgrim Woman comes to Worksop L
Nottinghamshire artist and sculptor Rachel Carter will hold one of her first talks, which includes extracts of her diary, ‘Spirit of Mayflower - Adventures of a Pilgrim Woman’ at Worksop Library on Tuesday, 12th November, 2pm – 3:30pm.
The session will include a reading from the diary Rachel wrote whilst on board a cargo ship en route to Provincetown in USA, interspersed with details from the original journey the Mayflower Pilgrims took in 1620, told from the past by William Bradford.

All of this inspiration, her personal family history teamed with the work she has been doing with local women’s groups, will eventually be woven into a major sculpture of a Pilgrim Woman to commemorat
