Buckland Abbey - Traditional Wassail
No New Year festivity is complete without a traditional Wassail on Twelfth Night. Join Dartmoor Border Morris who lead the annual Wassail to celebrate and hope for a good harvest at Buckland Abbey. At 1pm head to the Great Barn to be entertained by a traditional Mummers Play, which is an ancient custom of making diversion in disguise. The dancers put on masks, dance and perform a play with a silly plot.
