Zain, a Lebanese boy, sues his parents for the 'crime' of giving him life. We follow his journey from gutsy, streetwise, child to hardened 12-year-old 'adult' fleeing his negligent parents, using his wits to survive on the streets. Ethiopian migrant worker Rahil provides him with shelter and food, whilst he takes of care of her baby son in return. Zain gets jailed for committing a violent crime, and finally seeks justice in a courtroom.
